About me
My name is Ellie, I am starting University in 2026 studying Medicine at the University of Leeds after completing my A levels ( Maths, Biology and Chemistry). I am predicted an A* in A Level Maths (exam board EdExcel) I achieved Grade A in AS Further Maths (149/160, exam board EdExcel) I achieved Grade 9 in GCSE Further Maths (147/160, exam board AQA) I achieved Grade 9 in GCSE Maths (197/200, exam board EdExcel) I am a classroom assistant at my workplace, Kumon, where I have been working for a year. I often work with GCSE level students, explaining new concepts and guiding them through tackling difficult questions. I have strong diagnostic skills allowing me to distinguish between students knowledge gaps, misconceptions, and exam-technique issues which I can then address. However I am also very patient, encouraging the student through any difficulties and adjusting my lessons to the students learning style and pace. My thorough understanding of maths allows me to explain problems from multiple different approaches, letting me to give exam tips as well as tailoring teaching to students specific problem solving approaches.
