Live 1-to-1 Online Lessons
Every lesson is led by a dedicated tutor who gets to know your child and adapts each lesson to their pace, personality, and learning needs.
We have created a space where the complex becomes clear and every lesson is a small discovery. A live tutor. A comfortable pace. And an AI assistant that supports your child between lessons.

In 2021, schools moved online. But a Zoom lesson with 30 children could never replace real explanation and individual support. Many students felt lost, fell behind, and began to lose confidence. That was the moment we realised education needed something different.
We’re a team that genuinely believes maths isn’t difficult. It’s a language of logic that anyone can learn when it’s explained clearly. When a child understands maths, they gain a foundation for future success — no matter what path they choose in life.
We brought together exceptional tutors — people who don’t just know maths, but know how to explain it in a way children understand. We also introduced an AI learning assistant to support students between lessons, so no “Why does this work?” has to wait until the next lesson.
From the very beginning, Mathema students have gone on to gain places at leading universities, achieve outstanding exam results, and build the confidence to take on new challenges. Not because they suddenly became more talented. But because they finally understood maths.
A child who understands maths has more opportunities ahead. That belief drives everything we do. Our mission is simple: to help maths stop feeling intimidating and become a superpower children can rely on.
We’re not an online school. We’re not a conventional tutor. We’re something entirely new.
Every lesson is led by a dedicated tutor who gets to know your child and adapts each lesson to their pace, personality, and learning needs.
We don’t start with a textbook. We identify your child’s knowledge gaps and learning goals, then build a programme around them.
Got stuck on homework? Mathema’s AI assistant is there to explain, guide, and keep learning moving forward — anytime.
We don’t just hire maths experts. We look for people who know how to spark curiosity and help children enjoy learning maths.
We don’t just hire maths experts. We look for people who know how to spark curiosity and help children enjoy learning maths.
Only tutors who can turn “I don’t understand” into “I can do this” become part of the Mathema team.
Only one in ten applicants makes it through our selection process
We assess not only maths knowledge, but also the ability to make complex ideas easy to understand.
Mistakes are part of learning. Our tutors help children learn with confidence and curiosity.
Parents rate every lesson, and we act on feedback straight away.
Every day, more children fall in love with maths through Mathema.
These aren’t rules for an office wall. They shape how we work every day and every lesson we teach.
We don’t teach children to memorise formulas. We help them discover the logic behind them — and once they understand it, remembering becomes much easier.
Good grades are important. But what matters even more is when a child can see their own progress. We focus on growth, not just marks.
Mistakes aren’t failures — they’re opportunities to learn. Our tutors know how to turn them into moments of growth and confidence.
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach. There’s your child’s pace — and we adapt to it, not the other way around.
The world feels a little more magical when you understand maths.

Mathema is suitable for children of all ability levels. We tailor learning to each student’s needs — whether they need help catching up with schoolwork, deepening their understanding, or preparing for academic competitions. Before lessons begin, we run an introductory lesson to assess your child’s current level, understand their goals, and create a personalised learning programme.
Every tutor goes through a multi-stage selection process, including subject assessments, a trial lesson, and an evaluation of their teaching approach. We accept only one in ten applicants and continue monitoring quality through feedback and ratings after every lesson.
The AI assistant is built into the Mathema platform and is available whenever your child needs support — in the evening, at weekends, or between lessons. Rather than simply providing answers, it explains the thinking behind them, helping children understand concepts and solve problems independently.
We’ll match your child with a new tutor free of charge and without any hassle. The relationship between a child and their tutor plays a huge role in successful learning, so we want every student to look forward to their lessons.
Many parents notice improvements in understanding after just 3–5 lessons. More consistent progress in school performance typically becomes visible after 4–8 weeks of regular learning.
Mathema is available worldwide. Because all lessons take place online, location doesn’t matter. We work with families across dozens of countries who want maths to become a source of confidence and opportunity for their children.
